SHREYA CHHABRA:@ALPANA RASTOGI-INTERJECTION

With reference to your interjection#7, I would like to make the following points:

  1. You haven’t given the answer to your million dollar question-‘What is our position as compared to our neighbouring countries?’ However, I would definitely give an answer to that. Countries like china, Sri lanka have better HDI rankings than India. India lies far behind some countries in Africa and South America.
  2. I totally agree with you on the point that India’s IT sector has no comparison at all. Your statistics clearly point out the same. But, how many Indians have access to a computer? Clearly, not many.
  3. Your sentence-“we need to improve on certain areas such as education, sanitation reduction in poverty and corruption.” Actually, highlights all the major areas which affect the common man.
In another post, you had advised a fellow participant to keep a positive approach...which is what we have been doing up till now…sitting and hoping things will change, supporting it with our money, our effort and our labor. And I feel that as a citizen of this country, we have the right to be critical and put pressure so as to shape a better future.
